Firefighter Reunion

A large group of people gathered for an event at the Geyserville Fire Department, showcasing camaraderie and community spirit.
2026 Firefighter Reunion

On January 23, past and present firefighters were invited to the firehouse to share stories and memories with old friends. If you were a firefighter with us and did not receive an invitation, please send your information to Anneke Turbeville for the next reunion and mark you calendar for January 2030.

Firefighter Winter Training

Good weather during the "off-season" provides an excellent opportunity for firefighters to train for emergencies. Winter and spring are the slowest months of the year, giving firefighters time to sharpen their skills before the busy months ahead.

Vehicle Extrication and Stabilization Training

January 21 Training

Captain Stewart led a vehicle stabilization and extrication training for his crew on January 21 at Geyserville Fire Station. The District obtained old vehicles to practice rescue techniques. Firefighters stablize a vehicle to make it safe for them to extricate patients from the vehicle.

2026 CPR and First Aid Training

The 2026 schedule for CPR and First Aid Training is available the website on the CPR and First Aid Training webpage. These are classroom-based courses that focus on basic skills and techniques. The courses are instructor led and include skills practice throughout the courses. Skills are taught using the American Red Cross research-proven practice techniques, which allows participants to acquire practical knowledge.

There is no fee for these courses! These classes are intended for general knowledge and do not include professional certifications.

All classes are held at the Geyserville Fire Station, located at 20975 Geyserville Avenue, on Saturdays from 9 am to 11 am.

Animal Rescue

On January 8 we rescued Bob, a 2,000 pound 15-year-old Holstein steer stuck in a ravine. Graton Fire, one of two large animal rescue teams in Sonoma County, was called to the scene to assist.

Emergency responders are searching in a dark wooded area, examining a large object, possibly debris, using flashlights.
