Dates: In Progress, Started February 2026
The project will implement a minimum of 38 acres and up to 126 acres of vegetation management along 5.2 miles of Cloverdale-Geysers Road, between Geysers Resort Road and West Creek Road, in The Geysers area of northeastern Sonoma County. Cloverdale-Geysers Road has been identified as having strategic value as a fuel break, for access and egress, and community risk reduction. The vegetation management treatments include mastication, cutting and chipping, and cutting and pile burning. The project is in partnership with CAL FIRE, the County of Sonoma Public Infrastructure (PI), South Lake County Fire Protection District. Funding is also being provided from Sonoma County Ag+ Open Space and the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
