Elsa Cavazos
Hometown: McAllen, Texas and Tampico, Tamaulipas Mexico
Education: Elsa earned her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, with a focus on print and a minor in Communication Studies, from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Career History: Elsa worked as a reporter for a newspaper in Harlingen, Texas. Prior to that she did an internship in Tyler, Texas as a reporter. She was a freelance writer and continues to write freelance. Elsa moved to California from Texas to become the Healdsburg Tribune/SoCoNews equity reporter in 2021.
Special Projects: Elsa focuses on outreach for the District, COPE Northern Sonoma County and Geyserville Volunteer Firefighters' Association. Her goal is to increase community engagement, especially within Spanish speakers and all walks of life.
Interests/Hobbies: Elsa loves the beach but prefers warmer water. She enjoys reading and writing, coffee, wine tasting and concerts.
